From our vineyard and cellar crew through our wine club, tasting room and administrative staff we have the very best team in Southern California: Winemaker Craig Suveg, Assistant Winemaker Melanie Todd, Vineyard Manager Preston Todd, Jay Fritzsche, Technical Support Assistant, Marketing, Technical Support Engineer Michael Stubbs and Wine Club Manager/Special Events Coordinator Karen Suveg.

Suveg Cellars Brings France's Rhone Valley and Italy to Southern California

Suveg Cellars is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of perfecting the wines of the Rhone Valley of Southeast France and Italy in a manner consistent with the celebrated wine making traditions of those regions. Our current single Rhone varietals include Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache Noir, a GSM blend for reds and Viognier and Roussanne for whites. In addition to our Rhone varietals, we also produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, our only non-Rhone French wines. Winemaker Craig Suveg's passion for Italian wines have resulted in the production of several successful vintages of Sangiovese, Barbera, Primitivo and Pinot Grigio. We round out our production with our signature Blueberry wine crafted in a late harvest style and aged in both oak and stainless steel tanks.

Suveg Cellars is a Limited Production Winery

With an annual production of under 1,000 cases of hand crafted wines, Suveg Cellars represents the fine art of blending consistent with the Southern Rhone's centuries old tradition of blending select varietals which produce wines which we feel are more complex, better balanced and richer than single varietal wines. Each varital is hand harvested from the Temecula Valley and fermented separately. Our winemaking techniques include native yeast fermentation which provides a diversity of flavors and a character which is site specific. Our exclusive use of both Hungarian and French oak barrels preserves the spirit of the wines association to it's varietal character, vintage, climate and most importantly, it's terroir.

Suveg Cellars Vineyards

Multiple plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon from grafted rootstock located in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains at an elevation of just under 3,400 feet is used in part to produce our Cabernet Sauvignon as well as participating in the blending with other wines. Warm days and cool nights allow the vines to gracefully ripen while the rocky strata maintains heat allowing the fruit to typically mature in early October.

Naturally, great wines can only come from great grapes.Therefore, the fine art of winemaking is predicated upon an understanding of how to bring the juice through it's long journey from vine to wine as naturally as possible.
