So far, our Wine Club Only Nights have been a big hit! Wine Club Members had the opportunity to taste unreleased wines, as well as library wines that are available on a limited basis. This next Wine Club Night will be showcasing some brand new wines that will be hitting the menu in , and feature a surprise re-release that you'll need to show up to taste! This re-release will be the last case of our 2020 Malbec Magnums that we have in stock. Only 10 bottles are avialable!

Here is what to expect at our next event, as well as some ground rules. 

1. We will be opening several bottles of upcoming, unreleased wines as well as several library bottles for members to taste.
2. Bottle sharing is more than welcome, just make sure you purchase a minimum of one bottle to take home or drink on-site if you bring something to share with fellow members!

Dolcetto Riserva is coming to the menu for the first time! Join us on Sunday, January 5th for the release of our 2019 Dolcetto Riserva "Lacking Diplomacy."

Aged 28 months in barrel, the Dolcetto is packed with cherry liquor notes on the front palette, and accented by forest, tobacco, herbal, and petrol notes on the back palette.  Our 2019 Dolcetto was dedicated to the many city officials of Yucaipa who once stood in the way of wine industry development in our region (one of whom kicked Devin out of City Hall in 2019). As the tides begin to shift with the election of new officials and the publication of the Yucaipa Valley AVA in the Federal Register, we're hoping that we'll no longer need to lack diplomacy to pursue a greater vision for this region. As we move into a new era of wine industry development here in the Yucaipa Valley, our 2019 Dolcetto serves as an important reminder of the efforts and sacrifices made to ensure we have a thriving, vibrant wine industry even in the face of stark opposition.  The 2019 Dolcetto Riserva is aged a year longer in barrel and has all the same notes that made the original Dolcetto great, with additional intensity and complexity thanks to the additional time in barrel.

Suveg Cellars is excited to announce it's New Years Eve Party! From 7pm-1am this New Years Eve, come reign in the New Year in style at the California Street Tasting Room. 

This New Year's soiree will be a private, ticketed event that will include:

1. Open bar for the entire night, with the ability to enjoy any wines on our menu
2. Free, catered food for the entire night from Toscano's Pasta and Pizza. Vegetarian options will be available.

As an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, he brings his many talents to the stage as a solo artist performing equally well on saxophone, acoustic guitar, and voice. His repertoire includes a vast array of songs by popular singer/songwriters, as well as beautiful saxophone instrumentals of pop and jazz tunes, and haunting lyrical solo acoustic guitar pieces. With an uncanny ability to fit the mood of any party or event, Skip draws on his immense repertoire, extremely versatile vocal range, and accomplished instrumental ability to please even the most critical of audiences.

Crafted by comedic wizard Mel Brooks, the far from PC western spoof was genre redefining, and ranks among the greatest comedies ever made. Come drink some wine and relax with us on a Wednesday evening as we revisit the genius of Brooks, and laugh our faces off.

We're excited to premier a brand new wine at Suveg Cellars! This Sunday, we'll be releasing our first 3 part blend comprised of 3 Suveg Cellars favorites: Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo. Our new selection, named "Two Shady Ladies," will be available at the California Street Tasting Room on Sunday, December 15th. 

Inspired by the work Attilio Pecchenino, one of Italy's most decorated Dolcetto producers, Craig Suveg decided to include Dolcetto in his 2021 Piedmont Rosso Blend. Likely the first of its kind anywhere in North America, this blend of 55% Nebbiolo, 32% Barbera, and 13% Dolcetto creates a balanced and nuanced wine with lots of character. The wine sports notes of cherry liquor, gamminess, tar, tobacco, leather, and smoked alder, with the Barbera and Dolcetto softening the tannic edges of the Nebbiolo. With Nebbiolo being the dominate varietal of the blend, this wine can be drank now, or any time in the next 7-10 years.

Popping Off Pies is a mobile interactive dining experience that is dedicated to the preservation of handtossed pizza. Since 2019, they have been serving the Southern California area with their Neo-NY style pies. With catchy names like the Funky Fungi, Hannibal Lecter, and the Walter White, all their pies are prepared right in front of the guest and cooked in Ooni ovens to perfection. Suveg Cellars Book Club is back this December! Our literary meetup will now meet the SECOND THURSDAY of each month. For those who have not attended, here is how it works:  

1. There is no required reading, and the group will not be meeting to discuss a single book.

2. The group will function more as a literary meetup, where attendees discuss their favorite books, genres, styles, and provide recommendations to each other. This less rigid style makes everything far less stressful and gives attendees the ability to come and go as they please.

3. If you miss a Book Club Meetup, it's OK. Book Club will meet Second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room.

Cigar and Wine Night is back! And on this Black Friday, we'll have something extra special to offer to all attendees. Sir Eric Drazin, the Oak Glen Tobacconist himself, will be showcasing some very limited cigars that he's sourced specifically for the holiday season. What are the highly sought-after sticks? The NEW Belgian Blue by Crowned Heads Cigars. The NEW Limited Edition with only 2,000 boxes Nationwide were crafted for this special blend. Intense in terms of spice, especially in the retrohale, and strong in terms of body but not in a nicotine-nausea-inducing sort of manner. The blend is comprised of 75 percent ligero with a textured base, meaning that the base leaves selected have more thickness and texture, resulting in more strength and better combustion. The profile is simultaneously strong and smooth.

Suveg Cellars is happy to announce that it will be open the night before Thanksgiving to host a Night Before Thanksgiving Holiday Party! From 4-10 pm next Wednesday, we'll be reigning in the Thanksgiving holiday properly at the California Street Tasting Room.

3 years back, Winery Director Devin Cohen purchased his Oak Glen house and we celebrated by opening a 5-liter bottle of Chianti Classico. 2 years ago, we continued the tradition by opening two 3-liter bottles of Italian wine and last year, we opened a 5-liter bottle of Nebbiolo that was 14 years old. This year, we'll be opening up another 5 liter bottle of wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley that's also 14 years old.
We'll be opening this Jerobaum up next Wednesday, and anyone in attendance will be able to taste this wine! 

Also thank you to Candace Morgan for so gracefully modeling with each of these bottles over the past 4 years!

Nero D'Avola is coming back to Suveg Cellars! Join us on Sunday, November 24th for the release of our 2021 Nero D'Avola "Devil's Advocate."

Nero D'Avola is a grape varietal that hails from the island of Sicily. Nero in Italian means "black" and D'Avola translates to "from Avola," a town located on the southernly Italian isle. However, thanks to its near-identical pronunciation to "Nero Diavola," many have gone on to call this grape "The Black Devil." Our 2016 vintage sported the name "Hear No Evil," and the next renditions in our string of successive Nero D'Avola vintages were fittingly named "See No Evil" and "Speak No Evil." To keep continuity, the name of our 5th vintage of Nero d'Avola will be called "Devil's Advocate," a nod to the grape's origin as well as its unique backstory. We also added 30% Cabernet Sauvignon to our Nero D'Avola to give it additional structure and age-ability. 

Sporting signature fresh red fruit, black licorice, chocolate-covered cherry, and forest floor-like earth notes, this classic rendition of the captivating varietal can be enjoyed today or aged over the coming decade.

Josh's Front Yard BBQ indisputably serves up some of the best BBQ in Southern California. Having trained under the same pit master as the legendary Heritage BBQ out in San Juan Capistrano, Josh has won numerous regional awards for the quality of his BBQ. We can personally attest that everything we've tried on his menu is exceptional, from his brisket to his beef ribs, ribs, chicken and turkey. The larger-than-life, 6'4" Walle Larsson has been crafting jazz albums and acting as an emissary for the genre for over 30 years. Walle has shared the stage with some all-time greats, including Mel Torme and Tony Bennet. His talents have also taken to play prestigious events like the Montreal Jazz Festival, and record with famous labels like Blue Note Records. With his extensive talents and years of experience, Walle will surely put on a performance to remember at the California Street Tasting Room. Walle rocked the house in September to a full house, so make sure to get there early to get a seat!

Ever so often, we retire barrels after they have held multiple vintages of our wines. Over the years we've received dozens of inquiries about purchasing our barrels, and for the first time you'll have the opportunity to take one home! On Wednesday, November 20th we'll have multiple 30 gallons barrels available for sale! These barrels have been immaculately maintained in the event that you'd like to use them for wine storage, but they can be used for anything that your heart desires.

International Zinfandel Day is upon us! We’ll be celebrating one of our favorite varietals on Sunday, November 17th with a re-release of our 2020 Primitivo "Pole Position."

The spicy Zinfandel has a storied history and can be traced all the way back to Italy’s Primitivo and Crljenak Kastelanski, an ancient Croatian varietal. Though its roots are in the old world the grape has gained renown in California where Old Vine Zin, sometimes upwards of 15.5% alcohol, has catapulted the Zinfandel to international stardom.

To celebrate International Zinfandel Day, we'll be re-releasing 1 case of our 2020 Primitivo "Pole Position." Our 2020 Primitivo was a long-time wine club favorite, selling out to the public over a year ago. Our 2020 Primitivo is precise and expressive with elegant layers of dried pie cherry fruit, bing cherry, luscious raspberry, and red licorice. The red fruit profile is complemented by hints of hickory wood, smoky grilled herbs, baking spices, vanilla, and olive tapenade which help build structure and richness toward velvety soft polished tannins developed by 30 months of aging.

We're super excited to welcome gourmet burger truck Metal Kitchen back to the California Street Tasting Room on Saturday, November 16th from 12-8pm.

Metal head and culinary wizard Chef Daniel founded Metal Kitchen food truck to combine his passion for metal music and cuisine. Daniel has been immersed in the culinary world for over a decade, working as a chef, teaching cooking classes, and refining his craft. Metal Kitchen is an extension of his ethos, using only the finest ingredients from fresh hand-ground beef made from a priority blend of chuck and brisket, to freshly grated cheeses, hand-cut fries, home-smoked bacon and house-made sauces. Chef Daniel will be serving up his creatively named burgers like the "Cowboy From Hell," the "Motorhead," and the "Fight Fire with Fire" on Saturday, November 16th from 12-8pm at the California Street Tasting Room!

After years of requests from Wine Club Members, we're excited to announce our first Karaoke night at Suveg Cellars on Friday November 15th at 7pm.

Shawn will have a TV set up on stage, with a microphone and the whole set up for Karaoke Ready to go. Come sing your favorite songs with us at the Tasting Room!
