Our next Paint Night hosted by "Painting with Jesse" will be on Wednesday February 19th!

 All art supplies are provided as we paint step by step. You get to customize the piece however you want (for example, you can paint different colors, add different decorations, etc.). 
 
The price is $40 per person, and includes your first glass of wine. This includes use of all supplies/materials necessary to reproduce the painting (canvas, brushes, aprons, paper towels, cups, plates, acrylic paints, neon paints, and GLITTER paints!) 
The event is open to all ages and is family-friendly.

Artist Jesse (of "Painting with Jesse" of Facebook and YouTube) will be teaching all the step-by-step instructions in an easy-to-follow process.

Petite Sirah is coming back to the menu next week! Join us for the release of our 2021 Petite Sirah Riserva "Sibling Rivalry" from Paso Robles on Sunday, February 16th.

Get excited, because this will be the first 100% Petite Sirah Riserva we have released since the 2017 vintage. Craig Suveg produced this wine in 2021, brining in 2.3 tons of Paso Robles Petite Sirah in early October. The grapes underwent an extended 14 day maceration and were pressed in November, and barreled down shortly afterward. Aged an additional year to 38 months in neutral medium toast french barriques, the wine pours an inky purple with damp soil, chocolate, black pepper, violet, and herbaceous notes. A hefty wine, Sibling Rivalry can be drunk now or any time over the coming 10-15 years depending upon storage.

Suveg Cellars Book Club is back this February! Our literary meetup will now meet the SECOND THURSDAY of each month. For those who have not attended, here is how it works:  

1. There is no required reading, and the group will not be meeting to discuss a single book.

2. The group will function more as a literary meetup, where attendees discuss their favorite books, genres, styles, and provide recommendations to each other. This less rigid style makes everything far less stressful and gives attendees the ability to come and go as they please.

3. If you miss a Book Club Meetup, it's OK. Book Club will meet Second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room.

We're excited to announce our next Wine Club Only Night at Suveg Cellars on Wednesday, February 5th, as well as the re-release of our final stock of our 2020 Tannat Anger Management!

So far, our Wine Club Only Nights have been a big hit! Wine Club Members had the opportunity to taste unreleased wines, as well as library wines that are available on a limited basis. This next Wine Club Night will be showcasing some brand new wines that will be hitting the menu in February, and feature a surprise re-release that you'll need to show up to taste! This re-release will be the last cases of our 2020 Anger Management that we have in stock. Only 20 bottles are avialable!

Here is what to expect at our next event, as well as some ground rules. 

1. We will be opening several bottles of upcoming, unreleased wines as well as several library bottles for members to taste.
2. Bottle sharing is more than welcome, just make sure you purchase a minimum of one bottle to take home or drink on-site if you bring something to share with fellow members!

Our first Barrel Tasting Day was in early 2020 pre-pandemic, and since then many Wine Club Members have requested another opportunity to barrel taste with our winemaker. We hosted our first Barrel Tasting Day in 4 years back in January, and the turnout was great! We've decided to make Barrel Tasting Day a biannual event, and our next opportunity to taste wine straight from a barrel with Craig Suveg will be Sunday, February 2nd at 2pm.

 Here is how to get a free barrel tasting with Winemaker Craig Suveg:

1. Be a Wine Club Member of Suveg Cellars and complete your pickup on February 2nd.
2. Join our Wine Club on the 2nd. Members - this is a great day to introduce people to the winery and participate in our annual referral program, which we will detail in the upcoming week!
3. Be a Case Club Member, or become a Case Club Member, and you'll be able to barrel taste on a complimentary basis!

For this January edition of Cigar and Wine Night, we'll have something extra special to offer to all attendees. We're having a special library release next Sunday! And we're bringing back one of the most popular wines in Suveg Cellars history: the original 2019 Petite Sirah/Petit Verdot Blend "Size Matters."

Our 2019 "Size Matters" is a blend of 84% Petite Sirah and 16% Petite Verdot. Adding a small portion of Petite Verdot to our Petite Sirah gives this thick, blackberry-accented wine better acidity and balance while helping it to feel less weighty on the palette. This big wine is packed with blackberry, black raspberry, spices, chocolate, and vanilla bean accents, and can be aged for the next 4-8 years to reach peak drinking. Because Petite Sirah and Petite Verdot are two of the smallest grapes, they pack the biggest punch, and produce highly extracted and tannic wine. The name "Size Matters" was only fitting. 

Quantities are EXTREMELY LIMITED, as their are only 24 BOTTLES of Size Matters! Make sure to get here at 12pm to ensure that you can grab this piece of Suveg Cellars' history!

Suveg Cellars is coming out with its next vintage of Nebbiolo! Join us to welcome our 2019 Nebbiolo "Attitude Adjustment" to the menu on Sunday, January 12th.

Many of you may not know, but Nebbiolo is Craig's favorite grape. Derived from the Italian word for fog, "nebbia," Nebbiolo is named for the seasonal fog that settles over its ancestral homeland in Northern Italy- Piedmont. Craig's 2018 vintage of Nebbiolo Riserva was aged 38 months in a barrel and further softened by 12 months of bottle aging, consistent with the Riserva standards of the Italian wine region most famous for producing Nebbiolo, "Barolo." This vintage of Nebbiolo boasts all the classic Nebbiolo notes like licorice, tar, pipe tobacco, leather, violets, roses, and hints of espresso. An immense wine matched only by its complexity, it will age gracefully over the coming decade.

Jes has over 15 years of experience coaching spin, health and wellness, and will be setting up at Suveg Cellars on Saturday, January 11th at 10am to conduct an entry level, slow and gentle flow Yoga class. The class will be donation based, and Jes will be donating the proceeds of the class to a charity of her choosing. After the class, make sure to do a tasting, or grab a glass or bottle!

Dolcetto Riserva is coming to the menu for the first time! Join us on Sunday, January 5th for the release of our 2019 Dolcetto Riserva "Lacking Diplomacy."

Aged 28 months in barrel, the Dolcetto is packed with cherry liquor notes on the front palette, and accented by forest, tobacco, herbal, and petrol notes on the back palette.  Our 2019 Dolcetto was dedicated to the many city officials of Yucaipa who once stood in the way of wine industry development in our region (one of whom kicked Devin out of City Hall in 2019). As the tides begin to shift with the election of new officials and the publication of the Yucaipa Valley AVA in the Federal Register, we're hoping that we'll no longer need to lack diplomacy to pursue a greater vision for this region. As we move into a new era of wine industry development here in the Yucaipa Valley, our 2019 Dolcetto serves as an important reminder of the efforts and sacrifices made to ensure we have a thriving, vibrant wine industry even in the face of stark opposition.  The 2019 Dolcetto Riserva is aged a year longer in barrel and has all the same notes that made the original Dolcetto great, with additional intensity and complexity thanks to the additional time in barrel.

• Our 2019 Dolcetto will be available for bottle purchase, glasses, and tastings on Sunday, January 5th.

• Our 2019 Lacking Diplomacy be available through our Wine Club Online Stores starting Sunday, January 5th. You can also place an order via email at info@suvegcellars.com or call 909-768-2220 to reserve your bottles.

We're excited to announce our next Pizza Night! Join us to welcome Ember Pizza to the California Street Tasting Room on Saturday, January 4th at 4pm.

Ember Pizza is a mobile pizza pop up crafting only the finest wood fired pizza. Offering up pies like BBQ Chicken, Bacon Jalapeño, their white Pizza Anna Christina, and all the classics, Ember will surely have delicious pizza that's perfect for your palette. They'll be popping up at the Tasting Room Saturday January 4th at 4pm. Make sure to come grab one of these delicious pies!

We're excited to announce our next Karaoke night at Suveg Cellars on Friday, January 3rd. 

Our first night Karaoke was a success, as we had lots of fun impersonations and quirky renditions from members. Shawn will have a TV set up on stage, with a microphone and the whole set up for Karaoke ready to go. Come sing your favorite songs with us at the Tasting Room!

• We will be starting Karaoke at 7pm and going until 10pm.

Suveg Cellars is excited to announce it's New Years Eve Party! From 7pm-1am this New Years Eve, come reign in the New Year in style at the California Street Tasting Room. 

This New Year's soiree will be a private, ticketed event that will include:

1. Open bar for the entire night, with the ability to enjoy any wines on our menu
2. Free, catered food for the entire night from Toscano's Pasta and Pizza. Vegetarian options will be available. 
3. Surprise library wines to share, and bottles shares from Shawn and Devin

We'll have a tv set up on stage for all the new years festivities so none of us miss the countdown!

Tickets for the event will be $80 a person until Wednesday, December 18th, at which point tickets will be $100 a person. More details about the event are below! There will be 50 tickets available for this event.

On Saturday, December 28th, swing by the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room to celebrate Shawn's 41st Birthday with us!

Chances are you’ve met Shawn, our comedic, high-spirited Tasting Room Associate who has worked at California Street for about two years now. We'll be throwing Shawn a huge party for his 41st Birthday on Saturday, December 28th from 6-10 pm. The event will be fully catered with Shawn's favorite food, Pizza! We encourage you to come grab some za & raise a glass to Shawn's 41st.
