Suveg Cellars is overjoyed to host the legendary Larry Franquez at our California Street Tasting Room Friday, May 2th. Larry will be teaming up with Glenn Suveg on Piano and Kevin Sanders on Sax for a set that should be quite memorable.

Larry Franquez a native-born Chamorro started playing the drums at age 4 and began performing in public at age 5. He studied drum-set with world-renowned drummer Alan Dawson, as well as, drummers John Ramsay, Ed Kaspik, Skip Hadden and Bob Kaufman. He also studied concert percussion with Dean Anderson, Ed Sandion and Bill Schlitt. As a professional Drum Set Artist, Franquez has performed with Tom Harrell, Benny Powell, TK Blue, Sadao Watanabe, Bruce Gertz, Phillip Strange, Osamu Soda, Seleno Clark, Jerry Weldon, including a Jam session with George Benson.  In addition, he has performed with top jazz artists in New York City, Boston, Japan, and Hong Kong. In Los Angeles, he had worked with Tony Dumas, Karen Hernandez, Cengiz Yaltkaya, Eldad Tarmu, Tim Welvaars, and Joe Gaeta to name a few.

The event will be held at our DOWNTOWN LOCATION, 12132 California Street, Yucaipa CA, 92399.

• The release will take place from 7pm-10pm on Friday, May 24th.
