We could not be happier to release the first wine of our 2017 Paso Robles vintage, our 2017 Primitivo "Pole Position," this Friday-Sunday at the California Street Tasting Room.
Our 2017 Primitivo is precise and expressive with elegant layers of dried pie cherry fruit, bing cherry, luscious raspberry, and red licorice. The red fruit profile is complemented by hints of hickory wood, smoky grilled herbs, baking spices, vanilla, and olive tapenade which help build structure and richness toward velvety soft polished tannins developed by 30 months of aging.
Primitivo is the first grape to ripen every year, coming in before any other varietal. Genetically this grape has "pole position" over the field, the inside track to ripen and be harvested before the rest.
This will be the first wine release that we do with our modified service. Please read the details below for more information on how this release will be structured.
Event Details
This release will take place from Friday 5/29 through Sunday 5/31. We'll be spreading this release out over 3 days since our capacity will be limited.
All transactions must be made with the purchase of food, no exceptions. This includes Wine Club tastings.
Only table service will be provided for the time being in compliance with new directives. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, and we urge you to be patient if we do reach capacity.
If you are feeling ill, or for any reason don't feel 100 percent, please stay home until you feel better.
