2018 Sangiovese "Problem Child" Release

Suveg Cellars is excited to announce the return of a Wine Club favorite! Our 2018 Sangiovese "Problem Child" will be making its debut at the California Street Tasting Room on Friday, February 4th.

Sangiovese has always been the problem child grape of Suveg Cellars. Our 2017 vintage took months to grow up in barrel, and our 2018 vintage proved extremely difficult to source. But rest assured the new rendition of Problem Child is a ringer. Unlike the highly extracted 2017 vintage, the 2018 Sangiovese is a much more traditional interpretation of the classic old-world style. Lightly extracted, the wine has aromatic notes of fresh-picked cherries, red licorice, orange peel, and hints of mocha, rounded off by black tea and mineral notes. With vibrant acidity and moderate tannins, this wine will pair with almost any food your put next to it and will not weigh you down once the weather heats up.
