After traveling extensively through the Piedmont region and meeting with dozens of world-renowned winemakers in 2019, Craig Suveg made it his goal to become an ambassador for the region and its distinctly unique terroir. Several years after this formative experience, we're proud to announce the class that Craig has been patiently waiting to teach. Join us on Tuesday, May 31st in the Suveg Cellars Barrel Room for a deep dive into The Wines of Piedmont.
The class will include:
This intensive 3-hour workshop provides students with the opportunity to take a deep dive into the region of Piedmont, one of the most unique wine-growing appellations on the planet.
Students will be presented with 6 wines, and have the opportunity to taste through real renditions of Italian grapes like Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto D'Alba, Barbera D'Asti, and Arneis.
Dive deep into the history of the region, and the unique set of microclimates that built Piedmont into the powerhouse it is today.
Learn about the most famous vineyards and producers of Barolo and Barbaresco, and discover how their methods of winemaking and aging techniques create the most sought-after renditions of Nebbiolo in the world.
The class takes place on Tuesday, May 31st from 6:30 pm - 9 pm in our Barrel Room at our California Street Location. Make sure to wear a jacket!
Tickets are $30 per person, and will be going up to $40 on Wednesday, May 25th. Only 30 tickets will be available for this event.
