We're excited to announce the release of our 2016 Nebbiolo Riserva "Attitude Adjustment" Magnums on Saturday 1/21 at noon.

What's the significance of the 1.5-liter bottle known as a magnum? Magnums age wine better than 750ml bottles, extending life and enriching the complexity of age-worthy wines. Many of you may not know, but Nebbiolo is Craig's favorite grape. Derived from the Italian word for fog, "nebbia," Nebbiolo is named for the seasonal fog that settles over its ancestral homeland in Northern Italy- Piedmont. Craig's 2016 vintage of Nebbiolo Riserva was aged 62 months in a barrel and further softened by 12 months of bottle aging, consistent with the Riserva standards of the Italian wine region most famous for producing Nebbiolo, "Barolo." The Riserva boasts all the classic Nebbiolo notes like licorice, tar, pipe tobacco, leather, violets, roses, and hints of espresso. An immense wine matched only by its complexity, it will age gracefully over the coming decade.

There are only 24 magnums of this wine made, making it extremely limited in its production. Bottles will be sold to the Wine Club only.

• The 2016 Nebbiolo Riserva Magnums release will take place on Saturday, January 21st at Noon.

• This wine will not be available online, and will only be available for purchase at the California Street Tasting Room.

• The 2016 Nebbiolo Riserva Magnums will only be available for bottle purchase. Tastings of our 2016 Nebbiolo Riserva will be available.
