We're excited to announce the release of our 2019 "Size Matters" Magnums on Sunday 2/19 at noon.

What's the significance of the 1.5-liter bottle known as a magnum? Magnums age wine better than 750ml bottles, extending the life and enriching the complexity of age-worthy wines. Our 2019 "Size Matters" is a blend of 84% Petite Sirah and 16% Petite Verdot. Adding a small portion of Petite Verdot to our Petite Sirah gives this thick, blackberry-accented wine better acidity and balance while helping it to feel less weighty on the palette. This big wine is packed with blackberry, black raspberry, spices, chocolate, and vanilla bean accents, and can be aged for the next 4-8 years to reach peak drinking. Because Petite Sirah and Petite Verdot are two of the smallest grapes, they pack the biggest punch, and produce highly extracted and tannic wine. The name "Size Matters" was only fitting. 

There are only 24 magnums of this wine made, making it extremely limited in its production. Bottles will be sold to the Wine Club only.

Event Details

• The 2019 "Size Matters" Magnum release will take place on Sunday, February 19th at Noon.

• This wine will not be available online, and will only be available for purchase at the California Street Tasting Room.

• The 2019 Size Matters Magnums will only be available for bottle purchase. Tastings of our 2019 Petite Sirah/Petit Verdot blend will be available.
