The Final Release of Strait Jacket is finally here. Jump on the opportunity to taste and purchase our 2017 and 2018 Sangiovese, Cabernet blend for the final time before there is no more left in the library.

Our Super Tuscan Strait Jacket pays homage to the innovative producer Antinori Tignanello, who, in the early 1970s, decided to craft a wine not in conformity with the traditional Chianti formula specified by Italian DOC law in order to salvage the declining Chianti industry. As Tignanello broke from tradition he was labeled a heretic, and fit for a strait-jacket by members of his community (A feeling that we know all too well as we attempt to build an industry here in the Yucaipa Valley). But Tignanello's efforts spawned a generation of winemakers specializing in "Super Tuscans," ultimately revitalizing the central Italian wine economy, and cementing him as one of the great innovators in Italian wine history.

2017 Strait Jacket is the first 95-point wine Craig has EVER produced, making it our top-scoring wine since the inception of Suveg Cellars. Our 2018, although made in a different style, sold out so quickly that we didn't even have the opportunity to enter it into competitions!

Individual bottles are $65. Each vertical of 2017 & 2018 Strait Jacket is $120. Only 48 bottles TOTAL are available for this final Re-Release 24 of each vintage. Show up on Saturday, 1/20 to taste and grab the last of Strait Jacket. Tastings are available for 1 DAY ONLY. The wines will be available online, so make sure to look for the email. We'll send it out the day of the re-release.
