The Yucaipa Valley Wine Alliance will be hosting a celebration to commemorate the passage of the Wine Country Specific Plan by Yucaipa City Council. Come join us for some wine and complimentary food on Sunday April 14th from 1-6pm.

The Yucaipa Valley Wine Country Specific Plan places close to 500 acres of land on the North Bench that was previously zoned residential under permanent easement, saving this land in perpetuity for vineyards and wineries. For months this hotly debated plan made its way through the rigorous City Approval process. After the Yucaipa City Planning Commission voted to recommend the plan by a slim margin of 4-3, the plan was approved last week by Yucaipa City Council by a margin of 4-1. We'll be hosting a celebratory gathering on April 14th at Suveg Cellars Tasting Room on California Street to commemorate the preservation of this land, and the opportunity to we have to jump start our nascent wine region.
