Suveg Cellars Wins 6 Medals at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Nebbiolo and Petite Sirah Take Top Honors
Suveg Cellars has yet again dominated the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, submitting 6 wines and taking home 6 medals, including some of the top honors of the competition. We received 1 bronze medal, and 3 silver medals, all of which are listed below:
Bronze Medals:
2018 Barbera Liquid Assets
Silver Medals:
2019 Roussanne “Space Issues”
2017 Petit Verdot “Meet Your Maker”
2018 Dolcetto “Lacking Diplomacy”
Top Honors
Though we are excited to receive 4 combined bronze and silver medals, we are ecstatic about the honors bestowed upon our 2017 Petite Sirah Riserva “Sibling Rivalry” and our 2017 Nebbiolo “Attitude Adjustment.”
2017 Petite Sirah Riserva “Sibling Rivalry”- Double Gold
Craig’s 2017 Petite Sirah Riserva “Sibling Rivalry” became one of only a handful of Petite Sirahs to win a prestigious Double Gold Medal, besting wines from Napa, Dry Creek Valley, all other Paso Robles Petite Sirah, and all Temecula Valley wine in the category.
2017 Nebbiolo Attitude Adjustment- Double Gold, #2 Nebbiolo in the Contintental North America
Craig Suveg’s 2017 Attitude Adjustment, his pride and joy wine, was awarded one of 2 Double Gold Medals in the Nebbiolo Category, and narrowly missed Best in Class. Craig’s Nebbiolo beat out wines from all over the country, including wines from Valle de Guadelupe in Mexico, which is known for its Nebbiolo. With only two Nebbiolos taking home Double Gold Medals, The San Francisco Chronicle has declared our Nebbiolo to be one of the two best in continental North America. Nothing has made us more proud to announce!
We’d like to thank the Suveg Cellars Community for their unwavering support, as they are the foundation that drives the quality of our product. Without their backing, we would have never been able to achieve this landmark goal.
